About this Layout
Featuring a photograph of three wolves (what, you thought the brown one had five legs? xD), this layout uses a combination of divs, css and tables to create a serene wintery feel. The photo was taken from
Miami University's website via a google search with a brush from
Aethereality laid over the top. Fonts used on this layout are
Beautiful Caps and
Beautiful Caps ES from
Dafont on the banner along with
Verdana and
Book Antiqua on the site itself, both of which you should have on your hard drive.
This layout has a lot of space for navigation links in the right-side column, or you can use it for information about you. You can see this type of layout in action on
Soggy Muse. There's also plenty of space in the main content area to use this layout as a blog, personal or resource site.
Tested and found working in
Firefox and
Internet Explorer.

Using this Layout
Download the zip file and extract it into whichever folder you want it (eg. My Documents). Open the
index.html file and edit to your heart's content. Comments are placed in the source file to help you figure out what bits you can edit and the css is in an external file so you won't accidentally destroy the layout. It's assumed that you already know at least basic HTML. When you're done creating your website, upload it to your site host and there you have your site. :D (And no, sorry, I can't help you find a site host, free or otherwise.)
Layout Note
I've given you plenty of space (5000px to be exact) but if you run out of height and still have more to say, your text will spill over the layout in Firefox. All you need to do if this happens is open the
style.css file and find the #inmain code. Edit
height: 5000px; to increase the space (
only edit the number) to whatever you need (eg. 10000px), save and reupload. ^^;
Terms of Use
To use this layout you must agree to keep all credit information intact in the footer of
every single page of your website including links, however extensively you might edit it. If you can't do that for whatever reason, don't download or use the layout or any part of it
at all.
